Job Description


• Utilize AutoCAD software to generate detailed technical drawings, plans, and schematics for furniture designs, ensuring precision, accuracy, and adherence to industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and production personnel to understand design concepts, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
• Transform conceptual sketches and design specifications into clear and comprehensive 2D and 3D drawings that facilitate the production process.
• Incorporate necessary dimensions, materials, finishes, and other relevant details into drawings to guide the manufacturing team.
• Review and revise drawings as needed based on feedback from design, engineering, and production teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Maintain a library of accurate and up-to-date drawings, ensuring that any changes are properly documented and communicated.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by providing insights and suggestions for enhancing design efficiency and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with CNC programmers and other technology-driven manufacturing processes to ensure seamless translation from drawings to production.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality control procedures throughout the drafting process

• A high school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical education or certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as an AutoCAD Drafter, preferably in a furniture manufacturing or related industry.
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD software for creating 2D and 3D technical drawings and plans.
• Solid grasp of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and precision in drafting work.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical information clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Problem-solving skills to identify and address design and manufacturing challenges.
• Familiarity with CNC programming, Sketchup Design Software and other manufacturing technologies is a plus
